Business Challenge
Founded in 2013, SHINE is a team of proven global business leaders who believe that when we empower women and create a truly human environment, women thrive, men thrive, business thrives… and so does the World. Shine’s unique heritage is in empowering women so we can reach gender parity, having worked with over 10,000 women of 75 nationalities through their transformative programs.
The COVID-19 situation has brought urgency behind the need to expand their offering through a revamped digital platform. This would also allow Shine to engage teams remotely, enable deeper & longer-term learning opportunities, and better understand the needs of the Shine community.
Deliverables
Shine was looking for recommendations on membership & digital strategies that could create depth & breadth of reach at a lower cost, build a community & data base, and ultimately be monetized for increased revenue. PLB LAB was commissioned to help land a strong Value Proposition underpinned by relevant, differentiating content, benefits and features. These were also delivered to a set of high valued member segments through a robust programming strategy.

Insights + Ideas + Impact
We helped Shine run online qualitative interviews & partnered with Excelerate out of San Diego to run a discreet study. This, together with a series of carefully choreographed workshops, helped us land a Value Prop, and a set of supportive benefits. Separately, we helped select a platform vendor & delivered a set of membership strategies.
Testimonial
“Having worked with PLB at Nike, I knew to expect a thoughtful partner to help us launch our new membership platform Shine On where women can come together to learn, share and grow. PLB went above and beyond. He guided us every step of the way: from Qual & Quant research Insights, to value prop & membership strategies, to concept testing & features development, all the way to pro forma & job descriptions and recommendations.”
